Timing Is the Whole Job Here

The distance from Boca Raton to PortMiami is about fifty miles, and on a clear morning it is an hour. The problem is that the southbound run on I-95 is the most traffic-sensitive stretch we drive, and a cruise has a hard boarding deadline at the end of it. So we plan these against the worst plausible version of the drive rather than the average one, and we would rather deliver you to the terminal early with time for coffee than optimise the departure and hope. Which route we take — I-95, Florida's Turnpike, or US-1 — is decided on the morning and adjusted en route, because on that corridor the right answer genuinely changes hour by hour. From the northern county, PortMiami is a long way. If your itinerary allows a choice, Port Everglades or the Port of Palm Beach may serve you better and we will say so.

Flying In and Sailing

Miami International sits a short run from the port, which makes same-day fly-and-sail workable from MIA in a way it is not from further north. Give dispatch both the flight number and the sailing time. We track the inbound aircraft, and — importantly — we will tell you plainly if the gap between them is too tight to be sensible. That is a conversation better had when you are booking flights than on the morning itself. If you are flying in the day before, we will run the airport-to-hotel leg and the hotel-to-terminal leg as one reservation.

Luggage, Groups, and the Return

Long itineraries mean real luggage. A family sailing for ten days has more bags than the same family flying for a weekend, and that is what decides the vehicle here more often than the headcount does. The Mercedes Sprinter takes fourteen passengers and fourteen bags; the Ford Expedition and GMC Denali take six and six. Coming home, PortMiami's debarkation is the largest of the three ports we serve, and the kerbside competition for a ride reflects that.
